How these are worked out
Homes: median asking price of live listings for sale from Jersey estate agents, excluding land and commercial. Rent 2B: median monthly rent of two-bedroom lets. Asking prices, not sale prices.
Cars: median asking price of used cars in dealer stock. Unleaded: average of the latest community report per station in the last 14 days; shown once three stations have reported.
Fish & chips and Margherita: median price on Jersey restaurant and takeaway menus. Gov jobs: live Government of Jersey vacancies.
An index with too few data points shows a dash rather than a misleading number. History starts 7 October 2026.
